There are many things ABOUT Big Kick and GAMEFACE Since Jerry and Mike Moyer started these camps in the 80’s, Big Kick has evolved into one of the most respected soccer organizations in the country. Big Kick is all about exposure… to the best coaches, players, teams, professional settings, teaching styles, discipline, and affiliation with other well-respected soccer organizations.

 

 

2005 Campers were exposed to former Manchester United and current Everton/US International Soccer Super Star TIM HOWARD!  Tim's presence attracted many of the countries' top media, including:  ESPN the Magazine, USA Today, FOX Soccer Channel, and more! Over 300 Campers had the opportunity to spend an entire week with Tim - in the dining hall, on the fields, etc.


Coaches…what a list! Former United States Olympic Team Coach, and current MLS Real Salt Lake Head Coach- John Ellinger, is a past Big Kick staff member. Former United States Women's National Team Coach - Lauren Gregg is a past Big Kick Coach.  Former WUSA New York Power Head Coach, and current Syracuse University Women's Coach - Patrick Farmer, and the Power’s Goalkeeper Coach-Greg Kenney have been at Big Kick. Penn State Head Coach- Barry Gorman, Syracuse University’s Dean Foti, Wake Forest University’s Jay Vidovich, Notre Dame’s Chris Apple, Penn's Bob Butehorn and many other Division One coaches are past Big Kick staff members. MLS stars- , Ben Olsen, Eddie Pope, Miles Joseph and Carey Talley have instructed at Big Kick events. Paul Young, one of the Reggae Boyz from Jamaica’s National Team, has demonstrated his skills to Big Kick campers. The Hershey Wildcats' Joe Longenecker, who coached the A-League Goalkeeper of the year in 2001, has been a 12-year staff member. The list goes on and on…exposure to the best!  Current Wisconsin University Women’s coach-Paula Wilkins has coached at the residential camp at Kutztown University.  Plus...current US National Team star Christy Welsh has demonstrated her world class skills to Big Kick Campers!
